Vagabundary copies the calming pheromone a mother dog releases to settle her puppies -
a signal your dog instinctively reads as safety. Plug it in and forget it's there.
It starts working the moment it warms up, on every sign of anxiety - pacing on storm nights,
indoor accidents, chewing while you're out, the dog who can't seem to settle.
Plant-derived, drug-free, non-toxic. Healthy and safe around children, cats and other dogs.
Odorless - no harsh chemicals, no fragrance.
How it works
Setup takes about twenty seconds. After that, Vagabundary runs on its own.
Pick an open outlet in the room your dog spends most of their time
Twist a refill vial into the diffuser until snug
Plug in and leave it running - the molecule warms and fills the room
Unique formula
A plant-derived calming signal you won't find in chemical sprays, calming chews, or treats.
Mother-dog pheromone analog · plant-derived version of the molecule nursing mothers
release to settle their puppies. Adult dogs still recognise it.
Drug-free · no CBD, no THC, no sedatives, nothing that interacts with vet prescriptions
Heat-controlled diffuser · releases a steady, consistent dose for 30 continuous days
Species-specific · safe around children, cats and other pets · humans don't register the molecule
We adopted Koda from a high-kill shelter and within a month she started peeing by the front door every time we left.
Vet ruled out a UTI. Plugged in Vagabundary - twelve days later, dry floors. Same dog, same schedule. Just settled.

He literally sniffs it every night.
Biscuit is a tiny storm-phobic mess. First week he kept walking up to the diffuser and sniffing it like it was a friend.
By week three he stopped scrambling at our feet during thunder - he just lays under it now. I am not making this up.

She used to pace from 2am til sunrise.
Foster-fail senior lab. For two months she paced the bedroom every single night between 2 and 5am.
Plugged Vagabundary in the bedroom on a Sunday. By Thursday she was passed out under the couch.

Stopped chewing the couch arm.
Our shepherd mix was destroying furniture every time we left for work. Three weeks in and the chewing stopped.
Same dog, same schedule, same apartment. Just calmer about being left alone.

Helps. Not a miracle.
Be realistic about what this is. It is not a sedative. My terrier still barks at the postman like the postman owes him money.
But the all-day anxious panting? Mostly gone after about three weeks. I will take that.

Worked for one dog, not the other.
We have two. The senior poodle calmed down significantly. The younger one barely changed - maybe a temperament thing.
Wish there was a clearer way to know in advance who it will help.
Vagabundary reply · Megan · thank you for the honest note. Some younger high-drive dogs need pheromones layered with training or a short vet consult.

The science · why it works
Dogs have a second nose. Vagabundary speaks to that one.
A tiny organ in your dog's nose · the vomeronasal · reads safety signals.
Vagabundary releases the same molecule a mother dog uses to calm her puppies.
✓
Same molecule a mother dog uses.
First identified by French researchers in 1996. Nursing mothers release it to tell their puppies
you are safe. Vagabundary is a plant-derived version of that exact signal.
✓
Talks straight to the calm part of the brain.
The vomeronasal sensor wires directly to the amygdala · your dog's fear centre.
The signal lands before the panic does. No deciding to relax.
✓
Four clinical trials. Same result.
Trials between 2003 and 2008 tested it against placebo during storms, fireworks, vet visits and shelter stays.
All four reported noticeably calmer dogs. Published in peer-reviewed veterinary journals.

What to expect
Not overnight. Here is the real arc.
Four honest phases · told straight, not sold. Not seeing changes by Day 30? The Calm Promise refunds every dollar.
D1
First day
Nothing dramatic.
You plug it in, the diffuser warms up, the molecule begins to fill the room.
Your dog does not transform · this is not the movie version.
D7
First week
Small settling.
Pacing slows. Eating returns to normal. Fewer 3am wake-ups.
The accidents start to space out. You notice before anyone else does.
D30
First month
Full effect lands.
Trigger response softens · storms, suitcase, the doorbell.
This is the week most pet parents message us with, oh, this is actually working.
D90
Three months in
The new normal.
Continuous diffusion stays effective with monthly refills.
You stop thinking about your dog's anxiety · which is, quietly, the whole point.
30Day Promise
The 30-day calm promise
Visibly calmer in 30 days · or it's free.
Plug it in. Give it 30 days. If your dog is not visibly calmer, write us one email —
send the unit back and we refund every dollar.
Common questions
What pet parents actually ask.
Real questions from our inbox. If yours is not here, write us at support@vagabundary.com.
Is it safe for puppies and senior dogs?
Yes to both. Puppies over 8 weeks and seniors of any age tolerate it well.
The molecule is non-systemic, so it does not enter the bloodstream and will not interact with other medications.
How big a room does one unit cover?
Up to about 65 m² / 700 sq ft of open floor plan. If your dog spends time in distinct zones,
like the living room and bedroom, a second unit makes a noticeable difference.
Most multi-room households end up with two.
Does it work alongside calming chews or vet prescriptions?
Yes. Because it is a pheromone analog, not a drug, it stacks safely with most calming chews,
training protocols, and prescription medications. Always tell your vet what you are using.
What if my dog does not respond?
The 30-day Calm Promise covers you. Email us inside the 30 days, send the unit back,
and we refund every dollar. Roughly 1 in 14 dogs do not respond to pheromones —
that is on us, not on you.
